Elizabeth Schmidt, Juvenile Justice Staff Attorney
Elizabeth Schmidt joined the Supreme Court of Texas Permanent Judicial Commission for Children, Youth and Families in December 2025. She began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Nueces County, Texas, and then later joined the Caldwell County District Attorney’s Office in 2016. While working at Caldwell County, Ms. Schmidt discovered her interest in juvenile justice and served as the juvenile prosecutor there for seven years. Ms. Schmidt earned a BA in Political Science from Texas Lutheran University in 2008 and a JD from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2011.
