Megan Ransom

Chief Executive Officer, Texas Alliance and Family Services (TACFS)

Megan Ransom is the Chief Executive Officer of the Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services (TACFS), where she leads a statewide network of providers serving children and families across the child welfare continuum. Since joining TACFS in 2019, Megan has focused on strengthening collaboration among providers, state agencies, courts, and system partners to improve outcomes for children and youth in care. Before TACFS, Megan served as Director of Foster and Adoption Services at Partnerships for Children, where she partnered closely with DFPS and Central Texas child-placing agencies on community education and outreach for children in foster care waiting for adoption. She also previously worked at Texas CASA, deepening her understanding of advocacy, oversight, and system accountability. Across these roles, Megan has prioritized policy-informed practice, data-driven improvement, and elevating the voices and needs of children, families, and caregivers. An Indiana native, Megan holds a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology from Indiana University and a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. She is a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner through the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development. Megan and her husband are parents to two boys, and her experience as a mom informs and motivates her dedication to promoting safety, stability, and lasting permanency for children and families.
